American Assholes

Ratcatcher receives numerous newsletters and commentaries each day.  Most are unwelcome and a waste of time but impossible to “Unsubscribe.”  One of the worthwhile articles prompted this post.  The author warned about the pending presidential campaign and the notion that Kamala Harris is “one heartbeat away from the presidency.”

That is definitely not news.  Whether Harris’ election prospects are good or poor is quite beside the point.  She has been “one heartbeat away from the presidency” for over three years!  America has been at risk throughout the Biden-Harris Administration, not just because of the ineptitude of Joe Biden and his failing mind, but also due to the ignorance of Vice President Harris and her commitment to far-left policies.  America has thus far been spared from the consequences of her political orientation, held only slightly in check by the fumbling President and the Congress.

So how did we get here?  How do we find ourselves as a nation “one heartbeat away from the presidency?”  The answer is, of course, obvious.  Those voters who Ratcatcher has decided to label as “American Assholes” elected Biden and Harris.  They set in motion the most destructive, ineffective, and corrupt administration in American history, bar none.  American Assholes set up the scenario by which we, as a nation, are faced with Kamala Harris, one heartbeat away from the presidency.  That intolerable circumstance occurred because American voters bought the lies of the Democrat Party about Donald Trump and the fuzzy, feel-good “adults in the room” idea of a presidency of Joe Biden.

The most superficial research into Biden’s history throughout his tenure in public office; even a cursory study of the promises Biden-Harris were making; and any fair or slightly objective review of the Trump Administration’s performance would have yielded a clear and easy decision – vote for Trump.

The Democrat Party generally accepts as gospel that the American voting public is stupid; sheep easily led.  And, unfortunately, there is substantial evidence to support that conclusion.  “Bread and circuses” provided a governing policy in ancient Rome and similar modern promises seem to work today.  One need look no further than the outrageous promises made in the stump speeches Harris is giving in today’s election, offering money for first-time home buyers; student loan forgiveness; threatening higher taxes on the rich to make them pay their fair share;  regulation of the grocery business to force down the price of food; now waffling on whether a wall on the Southern border is a good idea or a mandate for electric vehicles.  Harris and Walz fully expect American Assholes to ignore everything she has done and said previously, and buy the new Nirvana promises.  So, the question lingers – will they?
