AWOL AG REDUX

A few days ago Ratcatcher wrote concerning the irresponsible failure of the Attorney General to enforce the laws of this country prohibiting marching and protesting outside the homes of Supreme Court justices. To date, Mr. Garland has still taken no action to arrest or otherwise detain the protesters who have threatened the lives of the justices and their families. His failure to enforce the law is reprehensible. He sworn an oath to uphold the Constitution and the laws of the United States when he was selected as Attorney General. He has violated that oath.

Mr. Attorney General, whether you support the killing of babies or not, you have an absolute obligation to enforce the duly enacted laws of the United States. You have undoubtedly concluded that your boss, Joe Biden, will take no action against you for your failure to do you job and follow the law; indeed, he supports your inaction and your own flagrantly illegal conduct. The problem for the rest of us is that you are the chief legal officer of the country. If you will not enforce the law, who will?

Your despicable partisan conduct has signaled that breaking the law is OK. Is that your intent? Can the rest of us break the law with impunity? If not, why not? Are you somehow above the law? Please do not insult our intelligence by claiming that the law is vague or uncertain or that somehow the protesters are above the law or exempted from it. Do your job! Arrest those who are threatening our very judicial system. You have disgraced yourself and your office. Don’t prolong the disgrace.
