Dead Bodies

Over 100,000 dead from Fentanyl poisoning; people drowning in the Rio Grande River; dead bodies, some eaten by wild animals in West Texas, others killed in car crashes while attempting to evade law enforcement. Dead bodies!

Every president makes a special effort to memorialize his legacy, the thing for which he and his administration will be remembered long after he has left office. Some presidents hope that history will record that they made peace, that they aided in economic prosperity in America. Others strive to assemble a record of positive legislation that corrected wrongs or helped segments of the population. Abraham Lincoln will forever have the legacy as the Great Emancipator, notwithstanding what some ignoramus students may think.

Joseph R. Biden will be remembered for dead bodies. His legacy and administration will forever bear the images of dead people, mostly immigrants attempting illegal entrance to the U.S. acting on the clear invitation of the self-same Joseph R. Biden. The mothers and fathers of children killed by the poison of Fentanyl smuggled over the border will forever have Mr. Biden to blame for the deaths of their children. The mothers of children drowned in the Rio Grande River while responding to his irresponsible and illegal invitation should, between their sobs and tears, recall that it was Joseph R. Biden who lured them to their deaths.

Some of you reading this post are going to claim that Ratcatcher has exaggerated Mr. Biden’s responsibility. Some of you will condemn us for peeling back the scab covering the bloody mess of death created by the Biden Administration’s border policy. But when the anger and heat subside, it is indisputable that the open American border is an irresistible lure to those in other parts of the world who are impoverished, persecuted, or simply wish to come to America. A thoroughgoing libertarian might even argue that the deaths are entirely on those who took the pills, tried to cross the river, attempted to outrun the police, or snuck into unguarded areas and perished in the desert – tough, you may say. Maybe. But compassion should figure into the equation at some point. And compassion says it is immoral to open a death trap and then invite people into it. That’s what Mr. Biden has done, and he bears the responsibility for it.

Ratcatcher will not arrogate to ourselves the role of judge. God will take care of that in due course. We simply wonder how Mr. Biden sleeps at night.
