Governmental Medical Racism

On Monday evening, January 10th, Tucker Carlson pulled back the drapes on one of the most pernicious frauds ever committed by the U.S. government. Regrettably, Tucker Carlson Tonight aired during the national championship college football game pitting the University of Georgia against the University of Alabama so fewer of his regular viewers saw the program. That is too bad in that he revealed a malevolence on the part of the US government not seen in America in over 100 years.

In late 2020, immediately before the inauguration of Mr. Biden as President, the federal adopted the first of what became a flood of regulations issued by multiple agencies. All were aimed at prioritizing the delivery of Covid medical care not to the elderly or physically impaired but to non-white groups, women, or those whose surnames imply minority status. That is bald-faced and frank racism practiced on a grand scale and without disclosure to you.

As a people, Americans have struggled for decades with the implications of affirmative action, the favoring of certain groups over others due solely to race or ethnicity, and the interaction of those preferences with the strictures of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Caucasian students have been denied admission to medical schools; Asian students have been subjected to reverse quotas, limiting the number admissible to prestigious Ivy League schools in order to provide space for students with greater melatonin; even changing fundamental rules of fairness to allow transgendered males to compete as women in athletic endeavors, gutting Title IX. But never, until the past two years, have Americans, as a people, been confronted with clear and unambiguous evidence of governmental bias in the delivery of medical care to some racial and ethnic groups over another. It does not require any imagination at all to know EXACTLY what would have happened if the US government had ruled that priority of vaccination should be given to white people, regardless of age, in preference to African-Americans, Hispanics, Asians, and other non-Caucasians. The streets would have been filled with angry protestors; newspapers and other media would have railed against such gross racism by the government. Such prioritizing would have sparked a wildfire of legislative outrage, demanding the immediate firing of all involved. That should be the result now. The Republican Party is AWOL on this issue as it is in so many other cases. Would-be Speaker Kevin McCarthy has been silent on this travesty. The entire Republican caucus has ignored the flagrantly immoral and illegal preferences granted by the government. Mr. McCarthy, as presumptive eventual Speaker of the House, should be made to promise clearly and without equivocation that, upon conclusion of the 2022 Mid-Term Election, if the Republicans retake control of the House of Representatives and the Senate, immediate and top priority will be given to reversing these illegal and despicable policies. If he is unwilling or unable to make such a promise, that should be considered in November.

It goes without saying, unfortunately, that no member of the Democrat caucus in either the House or Senate has had the guts to speak up; to go on record opposing this outrage. Ratcatcher does not expect any to do so now. Too bad.
