In-Classroom Teaching: Is it Wise?

It is possible that the wat4er in Tacoma, Washington is tainted or has been infected with the Trump Derangement Virus. It is more likely, however, that what is going on there is nothing more than what passes for education in America every day of the year. And that ought to give all of us pause.

Within the past three weeks different teachers in Tacoma and Seattle have accosted their students, threatening and intimidating and indoctrinating them with Marxist teaching.

Brendan Stanton, a middle school teacher at P.G. Keithley Middle School in Tacoma, asked his students to tell him who they admired and explain. One student answered President Trump. One of the students, a ten year old, wrote: “I admire Donald J. Trump because he is making America great again. And because he is the best president the United States of America could ever, ever have. And he built the wall so terrorists couldn’t come into in the U.S. Trump is the best person in the world. And that’s why I had admire him.” Stanton, who must still be a child himself despite posing as a teacher, had a meltdown – in the parlance, those were “trigger words.” {You really ought to become familiar with “trigger words” and track them daily because they change, depending on who is hearing the words – speakers, beware!!]. Stanton ejected the child from the chatroom, deleted the chat, and went on a rant about President Trump. He also mocked the child for admiring the President.

Now why is this important, you ask? America only knows of this outrage because Elsy Kusander, the boy’s mother, recorded the confrontation with her son. She then confronted Stanton who, of course, denied the incident. But, lo and behold, there was the recording. So here’s the question, what if Mrs. Kusander had not recorded the chatroom? What if, like millions of other parents, she had to work and was not home to watch the chatroom and Stanton’s indoctrination? What if she lacked the courage to confront the bully? Well, of course, it would just continue as it is all over America this very day!

Similar incidents have been reported all over the greater Seattle region this fall. , A teacher at Seattle’s Catharine Blaine K-8 taught 11-year old students that they should refer to a riot as an “uprising” and rioters as “freedom fighters.” A Grove Elementary another elementary grade teacher exposed her students to a vicious anti-police video.

The educational cabal has run amok in America for over fifty years. There has been no concerted or systematic effort made to rein it in, to bring balance to the indoctrination of our students. And we are reaping the whirl wind of that dereliction. Do the teachers, in high school, college-university, and even elementary level deserve the blame for this? Absolutely! But so do the parents of the children who mindlessly sent their children to schools, public and private, without ever bothering to learn or challenge what was being taught. The seeds of the revolution now in progress in America’s streets were sown and watered a long time ago and the parents who had the most to lose were AWOL. It is an open question whether tide can be turned. It is by no means clear that the entire education industry can be brought to heel and made to teach honestly. But if that is not done and done soon, the Republic will be destroyed from within.
