Iranian Legacy

Sometimes the obvious answer is actually THE answer. Media talking heads across the political spectrum are wringing their hands wondering what is motivating the Biden Administration to go beginning to the Ayatollahs for a renewal of the Iranian Nuclear payoff deal negotiated by the Obama/Biden Administration and canceled by the Trump Administration.

Mr. Biden, in his weakened condition, has engaged the Russians to act as his intermediary in an effort to salvage and renew the deal. The irony of that arrangement is so bizarre that it boggles the imagination. America is providing armaments to Ukraine to fight against Russia while Biden, on his knees, pleads with the Russians for help in dealing with Iran. So desperate is Biden that the proposed rebirth of the Iranian Nuclear deal be reinstated that he is apparently agreeing that, as part of the deal, Russia will be rewarded with billions of dollars of new revenue, courtesy of America!

So, what is the explanation for the desperation of the Biden Administration. Ratcatcher believes that the explanation is deceptively simple. The original deal was “negotiated” by the Obama Administration of which Biden was Vice President. The original agreement was, therefore, part of Biden’s legacy as well as Obama’s. It is patently clear that Biden remains in awe of Barack Obama and seems determined, regardless of the cost, to make sure that the Obama/Biden legacy is protected. It is a shameful effort and one that ought to be explored in greater detail.

Mr. Biden has demonstrated his disdain [perhaps hatred] for President Trump. Mr. Trump revoked the Iran deal, calling it the stupidest deal in history. By reference, that makes the authors of the deal stupid as well. Bottom line – this is personal and has nothing to do with American national security.

By the way, one of the tissue-thin excuses made by Biden for resurrecting the Iranian deal is to provide oil to America. That is a patently false argument given that America has more than adequate oil of its own. Mr. Biden took punitive action to cut off that American oil supply making the country dependent on such sources as Iran. Gross dishonesty!

Look for the obvious answer.
