There is a sweet irony in the complaints of aging rockers Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, David Crosby, Steven Stills, and Graham Nash and others demanding that Spotify de-platform Joe Rogan and his podcast. Senator Joe McCarthy must be laughing loudly at these antics. Young and Mitchell are precisely the kind of folks that McCarthy and his thugs [McCarthy Hearings, 1950-1954] would have blacklisted, costing them their jobs, reputations, and future livelihoods. How the worm has turned! Young, Mitchell and their friends have become the hounds of Hell, pursuing the very freedom of expression and thought for which their spiritual forebears were hounded.

Regrettably, when the Left announces that it supports free speech and freedom of thought and expression, they really mean freedom for themselves only. The rest of you rubes – shut up.
