Recapturing the Legacy of Joe Biden

This is the third post exploring how we might recapture the spirit of America and, in this instance, find a unifying theme in the presidency of Joseph Biden, the Forty-sixth President.

America is on the cusp of the next general election season. Candidates are already announcing their own candidacy. President Biden coyly toys with the media concerning whether he will seek a second term, but there seems little doubt that he will. Accordingly, Ratcatcher believes that it is time to review, in brief, the achievements and failures of the Biden Administration.

Biden’s list of achievements is surprisingly short.

Giving him the benefit of the doubt, we might allow that reaching an agreement with the Republicans on the national debt ceiling was something of an achievement. Without the cooperation of some Republicans, Biden might have catered the economy, thereby adding to his long list of failures.

His other achievement has been, if we may say so without being overly snarky, uniting large segments of the population, not just Republicans, in their determination to get rid of him.

As to failures, the list is long.

We may start with his executive orders on his first day in office, suspending the Keystone XL Pipeline and, thereby, crippling the American energy industry and, directly, the entire economy, setting in motion the two-year long decline in the purchasing power of the American public.

Over four million illegal aliens have crossed into America during Biden’s presidency – all at his personal invitation. During that same time, well over 100,000 Americans have died of fentanyl poisoning resulting from the importation of that drug from China through Mexico. Thousands of young children have been sexually trafficked by Mexican cartels using the Biden open border while other children have been murdered, then butchered to carry drug across the border. Every death; every rape; every addiction is the direct responsibility of Joe Biden. He must be made to own these atrocities; he alone is to blame for the circumstances that have given rise to these horrific crimes.

Biden’s repeated lies insisting that he was not involved with and knew nothing about his son, Hunter’s, foreign business affairs. Now the overwhelming evidence of his potentially criminal conduct is coming to light and, predictably, Mr. Biden is silent and denies, denies, denies.

His shameful abandonment of Afghanistan represents a stain on the reputation of America and devalued the sacrifices of men and women in uniform who fought there. Joe Biden, personally, bears responsibility for the deaths of every American killed during the withdrawal and the Afghans who were left behind. He will never be rid of that guilt.

Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act Tax Bill adopted without a single Republican vote continued the downward plunge of the American economy, ruining large numbers of businesses and threatening the economic stability of millions of Americans.

The unrelenting attack by the Biden Administration on people of faith and conservatives in general, including his weaponization of the Department of Justice.

The fraudulent and unreasonable exaggeration of the demonstrations of January 6, 2021, including the prosecution and jailing of hundreds of people who were clearly innocent of any crime whatsoever.

The participation of the Biden government, either directly or by sponsorship, of the demolition of the Nord Stream II pipeline – indisputably an act of war against Russia.

And the list goes on and on. These instances of gross malfeasance absolutely must become part of the Republican Party effort to unseat Joe Biden. The so-called legacy media will not report on or repeat any of these facts; they will endeavor to bury or downplay them, banking on the ignorance of the American public. Conservative media does not have sufficient national coverage to inform the public on all of these matters. They must be featured over and over in ads and speeches so that the American public becomes aware of all of his misconduct.
