Respectful Warning to Republicans

Sen. Mitt Romney, Rep. Liz Cheney, and Rep. Adam Kinsinger, among others, are on record as approving the impeachment of President Trump. Their explanations for their positions are vague and lack substances. They come down to the fact that President Trump had the temerity to challenge the results of the November general election. These elected officials, believing they knew better than the President and millions of his supports, demanded a concession of the election early on so that they could get back to business as usual, putting the Trump years behind them once and for all! Pressed on the specifics of why President Trump should be impeached, the arguments boil down to an absurd claim that he failed, on January 6th, to lecture the hundreds of thousands who had gathered in his support , admonishing them expressly that they should not attack the Capitol; that they should not attempt to invade the Capitol, break windows, or in any way beach the security barriers around the Capitol. That is a stupid argument that is premised on the idea that President Trump knew, or should have known, that some in the crowd that day intended to attack the Capitol. But Sen. Romney, and Reps. Cheney and Kinsinger as well as their fellow travelers offer no evidence to support that assumption. Their hatred for President Trump rivals that of the Democrats and makes unnecessary the proof of the Democrat impeachment allegations that President Trump incited an insurrection. Intellectually it is far easier simply to assume the conclusion and avoid having to deal with potentially troublesome facts!
Well, here’s a prediction from the Ratcatcher. 75 million Americans voted for President Trump in the last election. They have not abandoned him even though the RINOs have. In less than two years, we will have another election. Reps. Kinsinger and Cheney be up for election in 2022; Sen. Romney’s term expires in 2024. Millions of Republican Trump voters will remember the betrayal of Cheney, Kinsinger and Romney and any other Republican who joins the Democrats in their ill-conceived effort to damage President Trump.
By the way, here’s one more observation and not an original Ratcatcher idea. The attacks on President Trump are largely symbo9lic. At root, they are aimed at his supporters. Keep that in mind the next time someone asks you for support.
