Dear President Biden:
Enclosed with this letter you will find my invoice to the United States government in the amount of $185,609.85, representing the amount of my student loan that I repaid to the lender, with interest as required. I have just read that you have forgiven student loans up to $20,000 for certain students; perhaps you can make an exception for me since I am a loyal Democrat voter who has been considering switching parties. Your generous repayment of my loan would go a long way toward convincing me to remain a “loyal Democrat.”
The way I see it, Mr. President, the money is really mine anyway since I have been voting a straight Democrat ticket for at least three election cycles, including your last term as Vice President. Surely my loyalty has earned at least this amount of loan repayment.
There is one other matter that you ought to consider. I have paid inordinately large amount of income tax as a result of the earnings I have made based on my degree which I paid for without any help from you or anyone else in the government. Isn’t it about time that you rewarded my diligence?
Finally, there is that little issue of fairness. Now I realize that fairness has its limits and really only applies when there are Democrat voters involved who can claim to have been unfairly treated. I certainly understand that fairness never applies to Republicans or even Independents. But I am a Democrat – a loyal Democrat – and your student loan forgiveness order is extremely unfair to me and other Democrat voters. Please either cancel the program or repay all of us Democrat voters!!
