The Lies the President Tells Us

After months and months of pussyfooting around the issue, some in the media and news commentators have finally begun to label President Biden’s misstatements for what they really are: lies! An accurate biography of Mr. Biden will recount that he has been lying, plagiarizing, and misleading the public for his entire career. Ratcatcher does not intend with this post to catalogue the lies; they are well-0known and frankly too many to list. Rather, we will focus on one of the latest outrageous lies the President has told while looking directly into the camera. It is notable that this lie was part of Biden’s now notorious “Soul of the Nation” speech given on Thursday, September 1 of this year. It is further noteworthy that, while telling the lie, Biden appeared absolutely sincere and righteously angry. The man is so consumed with hated for Republicans and so misled by that hatred that he did not even flinch while delivering one of the major libels against conservative Americans included in his speech.

Working up to a pitch, Biden claimed “MAGA forces are determined to take this country backwards — backwards to an America where there is no right to choose, no right to privacy, no right to contraception, no right to marry who you love."

That statement contains five separate and palpably false statements, easily disproved by anyone caring to do so.

First, here is not a single Republican leader or spokesman advocating to take America “backwards,” whatever that pejorative may mean. The record of the Trump presidency from which we get the acronym “MAGA” is precisely opposite the Biden claim. It was forward-thinking, job-creating, tax-cutting, national security building, and aimed at creating pride in Americans in our country. The polar opposite of the Democrat agenda.

Second, no one has been deprived of the “right to choose” nor has any Republican leader proposed that. Rather, on the strength of that most democratic Supreme Court decision of Dobbs vs. Mississippi, every state will have the right to choose whether to permit abortion and, if so, under what circumstances. That is the very definition of democracy!

Third, Biden’s claim that MAGA Republicans threaten the right to privacy is sweet irony when one considers that it is the Biden Administration that has perfected the invasion of personal privacy; has conspired with Facebook Google and other social media companies to censor the private as well as public statements of Americans. But taking Mr. Biden at his word that he is genuinely concerned about privacy; it should be noted that this claim is simply a fraud as there is no movement underway to limit the personal privacy of anyone. As we all know too well, “privacy” is simply the rubric under which abortion, sodomy, gay marriage, transgenderism, and the destruction of Title IX and its concomitant protection of female athletes, have been promoted. As with abortion following the Dobbs decision, all of the rest of these issues should and will be decided democratically by the people. Biden and the Democrats yell and scream that Republicans threaten democracy; quite the contrary—it is Democrats that are doing the threatening and must be prevented.

Fourth, nowhere is the right of contraception threatened. Not even the Roman Catholic Church to which Biden claims to belong, any longer effectively bans contraception. This is a red herring and another lie!

The fifth and final lie in this paragraph is that the right to marry whom you choose is threatened. This lie barely deserves to be dignified with a response as it is so outrageous. The anti-miscegenation laws have long been held unconstitutional and homosexual marriage has been upheld by the Supreme Court. Clearly, those decisions could be revisited in which instance, just like Dobbs, the matter would be returned to the states for decision – Democracy!

Listen closely the next time Mr. Biden speaks. The chances are he will lie to you.
