The Soles of the Nation

Thursday night, President Biden delivered a speech dubbed “The Soul of the Nation.” By the time he had ended his diatribe, at least half the nation was examining the soles of their shoes, sincerely believing they had stepped in something very nasty. Stephen Miller, former Trump advisor, suggested on Fox News Channel that Biden had given the speech of a dictator in the style of a dictator.

For more than thirty days, Biden and his minions in the media have been labeling anyone who disagrees with the radical Democrat agenda as “fascists.” Sometimes they have seemed to want to moderate their verbal hatred by changing the label to “semi-fascists,” as if that would somehow soften the blow of their attack. It was and remains a stupid effort. There is no such thing as a “semi-fascist.” One is either a fascist or he is not.

Listening to all of these Biden rants one is reminded of the childhood rejoinder, “It takes one to know one.” The list of Democrat fascist-like conduct is long and well-known: Most lately, the unprovoked and totally improper raid on President Trump’s home; the January 6th Congressional Hearing that looks, sounds, and acts like a Stalinist show trial; the early morning raid on the home and arrest of Roger Stone; the threats of the Attorney General to arrest parents who objected to the radical teaching of Virginia teachers; he seizure of Professor John Eastman’s cell phone despite the fact that Eastman is one of President Trump’s lawyers and his phone contained confidential and privileged information; he seizure of Republican Congressman, Scott Parry’s cell phone because he has been an outspoken critic of the January 6th Show Trial. There are numerous additional instances of Democrat government fascist actions in the past twenty months; none have been criticized by the media and certainly none were mentioned by Mr. Biden in his rant against Republicans.

Ratcatcher believes in giving credit where it is due. Biden was quite correct when he said that” "Too much of what’s happening in our country today is not normal." Raiding a former president's home is not normal; teaching America's children that the Founders were evil is not normal; releasing violent thugs without bail is not normal; attacking police officers as racists is not normal; promoting abortion on demand, even up to the moment of birth, is not normal; exposing children to “drag queen stories” is not normal; and maintaining an open border while claiming that it is secure and closed, is not normal.

Following the Biden speech attacking what he called “MAGA Republicans,” former President Trump correctly pointed out that the abbreviation “MAGA” stands for “Make America Great Again.” It may be that the current Commander in Chief, a man obviously impaired and scarcely capable of formulating a coherent thought, simply did not know what the abbreviation meant. More likely, however, Mr. Biden hates the idea of a great America. With his apparent financial ties (through his son Hunter) with China and Ukraine, it seems manifest that Mr. Biden sees a “great America” as a direct threat to his own well-being as well as his son’s.

Ratcatcher was thoroughly disgusted by Biden’s “Soul of America” speech. Rather than inspire, he literally ripped at the soul of the country, leaving all of us repulsed by the vitriol and hatred that he spewed on national television. What must the enemies of America think when the President delivers a prime-time frontal attack on half the nation. Mr. Biden has demonstrated from the beginning that his grasp of Christianity is weak, but he would do well to recall the words of Jesus, “a house divided against itself cannot stand.” If his goal is the destruction of America, his “Soul of the Nation” speech may have been the first shot.
