When I use a word,' Humpty Dumpty said in rather a scornful tone, 'it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.' 'The question is,' said Alice, 'whether you can make words mean so many different things.' 'The question is,' said Humpty Dumpty, 'which is to be master — that's all." ― Lewis Carroll, Through the Looking Glass.
USC has decided that it can redefine a common word, “field.” Now, according to the pinheads at USC, the appropriate word is “practicum.” But all of their wokeness got way out ahead of itself, as is so often the case with the elites who feel compelled to tell the rest of us how to think and what to think about. Ratcatcher intends this post to be short. It could be very long with nearly endless examples of the overreach of the woke. But consider the following screwups of the morons at USC and their language demands:
From now on, astrophysicists will speak of a gravitational practicum. No longer will corn grown in fields, but in practica. One of the most popular fall and winter games, college and professional will be played on Saturday and Sunday on 100 yard green practica. Finally, one of the smallest rodents is a practicum mouse. Idiocy!! Words actually have meanings that are not woke.
