Where have the Republicans gone,

Long time passing;

Where have the Republicans gone,

Long time ago?

Where have the Republicans gone,

Gone to hiding every one,

When will they ever learn?

Broken border, hundreds of thousands of illegals crossing the border, waves of illicit and harmful [deadly!!] drugs flooding American cities, rampant crime and killings, runaway inflation, and the indoctrination of America’s children with racist Marxist ideology designed expressly to destroy the foundations of America.

The preceding list if incomplete; you can certainly add more to the ills facing America largely sponsored or at least permitted by the Democrat Party. But America has two parties, right? So where is the other one in the face of all these crises? With the exception tiny handful of legislators, the overwhelming majority of Republicans have their heads down, avoiding controversy or even joining in the chorus led by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. Turn on your television or radio and count the number of Republicans who are featured speaking up forcefully about the damage being done by the Democrats, urging Americans to change course, or promising specific reform if, as and when the Republicans are in charge. You will waste your time; the number of passionate, clear-thinking and articulate Republicans speaking up is very small. As a party, the Republicans are AWOL and that is a tragedy for all of us.

If there is no discernible difference between the parties, why bother with two? But, in a cynical bid for their own power, the Republicans continue to claim that, if elected, they will make a difference; they will change the course of the country. But those with ideas are few and far between and one may be forgiven for doubting whether they even mean what they promise. When we were little, our mothers told us that actions speak louder than words. That was good advice and true. It still is. It is, therefore, fair to ask where the Republicans are; why aren’t they out in front screaming “danger” and waving warning flags to the American public? The country is, without doubt, in a dangerous circumstance. Why aren’t the Republicans acting as the “loyal opposition party” and calling attention to the terrible policies of the Democrats? “When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn?”
